We create bespoke workshops to meet your community needs. We offer rigorous training with meaningful ensemble building. At the center of each of our workshops is training tailored to the goals of the students and organizations we partner with. We bring a wide range of expertise through our extensive network of Global Majority teachers to create one-of-a-kind experiences and training.
Theatre Gap Initiative
A yearly workshop to support Theatre Gap’s mission to prepare young actors seeking admission into BFA programs based in North Carolina.
We provide a 2 week curriculum bringing rigorous BFA level training focusing on scene study and foundational acting techniques. This workshop also has ensemble building at the core. Actors are given the opportunity to create their own work together while learning key lessons in being an ensemble and community member. Actors are given space to be empowered in their own identity and authentic self.
Studio Theatre DC
In partnership with the production of The Scenarios.
We facilitated a panel discussion with casting directors Raiyon Hunter and Danica Rodriguez to discuss casting, empowering authenticity, and community building. Followed by a monologue coaching session to give acting participants direct access to graduate-level coaching to support their audition preparation. Actors ended the workshop by attending a performance of The Scenarios with the Encompass team.
Miranda Family Fellowship
Workshop providing the Miranda Family Fellows with guidance and tools in creating their artist statements for grants, residencies, and various professional opportunities. An online workshop for artists to get feedback on their statements and guidance through the identification of self, artistic mission, and how to communicate their goals to future collaborators and partners.
KCACTF Irene Ryan Scholarship Festival
As a yearly adjudicator, Encompass Collective holds classes and mentorship to actors throughout the national festival. We provide ensemble building exercises, warm-up techniques and facilitate conversations to support the care for actors gathering from all over the US. We also host professional panels with actors, casting directors and industry professionals. Through this partnership, KCACTF has created a scholarship for 4 finalists to attend our summer retreat.
